As part of
the mission entitled 'The West Channel Initiative', launched by
His Excellency Sir John Holmes (British Ambassador to France) last
October, a Franco-British meeting day was held on the 19th June
at the British Embassy in Paris. SMC Electroncis had the pleasure
of presenting its products and services, along with approximately
30 other exhibitors, in the attractive surroundings of the Embassy
gardens.
The objective of the day was not only for the
exhibitors to present their services but also to strengthen the
links between enterprises and institutional entities from both sides
of the channel.
For us at SMC, it also provided an ideal opportunity
to display a pre-launch range of prototype products – intelligent
tracking and GPS systems – which will soon represent an entirely
new activity branch for the group. We were very pleased to see the
high level of interest shown in our group’s activity by a
wide variety of visitors.
The Embassy’s commercial section has
been a reliable and helpful support service to SMC since the creation
of our French operations base in 1995. In return, we remain very
supportive of their efforts and look forward to future exchange
events of this positive nature.

The day was pleasurably concluded by an invitation to the annual
ceremony in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
